Taiwan launches global call on health tech with trade partners

Healthy with Taiwan Sports is designed to attract health and sports advice.

Taiwan began its 2025 “Health with Taiwan” appeal on June 3 to propose recommendations aimed at attracting global health and sports technology stadiums to work with Taiwanese manufacturers and receive a $30,000 bonus.

Industry groups representing bicycles, sporting goods and medical equipment are supporting sports.

The campaign was led by the Foreign Affairs Bureau and organized by the Taiwan Trade Center (Taitra), and was initiated at the Nanmen Park of the Taiwan Museum in Taipei, Taiwan.

Up to three winning proposals will receive a prize of $30,000 each and have the opportunity to work with Taiwanese businesses. Finalists will be invited to Taiwan for competitions and related events, covering travel and accommodation.

Medical tourism sees increased demand
According to Grand View Research, the global medical tourism industry is expected to reach a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.08% from 2025 to 2030.
