Mecha game classic Dreamcast version Virtual Oratorio Tangram Now 25 years old.
Dreamcast was released in Japan on December 9, 1999 Virtual Oratorio Tangram It’s actually better than the arcade version from a year ago.
This is mostly due to balance changes, but also due to the hardware change from a wildly customized Model 3 arcade board to the Dreamcast. The latter is paired with the Naomi arcade board, which will also see its own iteration Virtual Oratorio Tangram A few years later.
To explain the version of the game a little bit, the first version was MSBS 5.2, which was later updated to MSBS 5.4, both on Model 3.
Not only that, the Dreamcast version also has a secret ending, which is pretty neat. Not to mention the fun you can have against the game’s secret boss, Ajim (shown below).
When the game was released on Naomi hardware, the version was called MSBS 5.66, which was later ported to the Xbox 360, which is where we Virtual Masterpiece Collection Available for PlayStation 4.
This means that back in 1999, if you wanted to play the best, most balanced version Virtual Oratorio Tangramyou need to get the Dreamcast version.
For me, that’s why I bought a Dreamcast and a bunch of really great TwinStick controllers to play it properly. The game also supports online gaming and VGA output, so it is quite ahead of its time in a technical sense.
although Oratorio Tangram It did get a US release on the Dreamcast with help from Activision, but the lack of TwinSticks internationally didn’t exactly help the game.
anyway, Virtual Oratorio Tangram is still an absolute classic and now only Virtual Masterpiece Collection Will go west.
